Check first that your 7Speaking subscription hasn't run out. Check too that your login and password are correct.
If your login & password are correct and your subscription is valid, then your computer must be blocking our cookies and we can't identify you.
If you use Norton Internet Security or Norton AntiSpam, we recommend that you deactivate them long enough to connect to 7Speaking and to re-activate them straightaway, having previously closed your email browser.
These programs are blocking the login and password that you are trying to send us.
In order to avoid deactivating and re-activating them every time you want to connect to 7speaking, you can change the settings of these programs to expressly accept the 7Speaking.com website (more information can be obtained from Symantec technical support).

Check that you can listen to an audio document on your PC: volume turned up (mute mode turned off), sound card, speakers or earphones plugged in.
You must use a PC or MAC with an Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox 2.0 browser (and not Netscape or Safari on a Mac).

Why isn't all my time spent online billed?

If not all your time online is billed, it may be because your browser is blocking the necessary cookies.
The option "Block all cookies" of your browser should not be activated. (This option is very rarely in use.) In IE 6.0 or 7.0 this option is found under Tools - Internet Options? tab "Confidentiality". If you are using Norton Internet Security then you need to set this tool for it to accept 7speaking's cookies.

We do recommend using a PC, but you can also work on a Mac. Most importantly, use Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox as your browser (and not Safari).

When I want to study a document, I'm offered the end-test straightaway.

When you click on a document in order to study it, you will indeed find the end-test is offered on that screen, but the document you want to study beforehand has been opened in a new Internet Explorer window.
Check if this new window has opened on your taskbar, in between the other open applications shown there.
If the window still cannot be found, then it must be because you have a particularly strict anti-popup software installed (you will have to deactivate it or change the settings to accept 7Speaking).

I can't use the email course reminders.

We offer these emails in 2 formats:
html, for users whose email browsers can deal with html and its formatting (colors, links, fonts).
text, for those whose email browsers need plain text emails.
If your email browser does not support HTML format, you can choose TEXT format using the Change button on your My7Speaking page.
For TEXT-format course reminders, you will need to copy the link to your Internet Explorer browser in order to study the document we suggest.
For HTML-format course reminders, you simply need to click on the link, and if this does not work it is probably because you are using an anti-popup (which is stopping the study window opening).
In any case this email is only a reminder and an invitation to connect to our site. The document we suggest you study is also available from your My7Speaking page which you can access using your login and password.

The pronunciation module isn't displayed.

Access to our pronunciation module is sometimes denied by your company's firewall. It is a stand-alone module and not one of the most important parts of our teaching method.
For the module to work correctly, one of the tests from the following link must have the status "success":
http://flashcomguru.com/apps/port_test/index.cfm
This module uses the HTTP protocol which encapsulates the rtmp protocol. It uses port 80. The IP address of the pronunciation module is: 195.200.125.136.

Your firewall is blocking the subtitles. Try deactivating it for a short test. If the subtitles appear during the test then contact the technical support team of your firewall software and they will help you to change the settings.
